What is an Intervention? An intervention is a coordinated effort by a group to get one of it members to address his or her destructive behavior. This coordinated effort is by an interventionist. These destructive patterns can be any crisis from behavioral addictions to substance addictions.
Although behavioral addictions and substance addictions look very different, they can be treatment can be the same. Behavior addictions are addictions of compulsive behavior, like sexual addiction or gambling. Whereas, substance addictions are addictions to substance, like drug abuse, alcohol abuse, or even overeating.
